Happy Birthday Sylvia!
Our beloved Sylvia became a HERO on October 11, 2009
Sylvia's left kidney and liver were transplanted into a 41 year old woman in southern California. With her gift of life, we are now told that both organs are functioning and that she is doing well.
A 42 year old Southern California woman is the recipient of Sylvia's right kidney. This woman started dialysis in 1997 and with a healthy kidney, she is now free from dialysis.
Sylvia's lungs were transplanted into a 27 year old woman who suffered from cystic fibrosis. This recipient is single and she is a student . With her transplant, she is now doing well and can look forward to leading a healthy life."

What an amazing act of kindness and love....To give the gift of life is truly the ultimate gift! Sylvia truly was a hero! On this day you celebrate the woman she was! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
Its wonderful to see that through Sylvia these people are living a healthy life! The gift of life is the most beautiful gift of all!
I agree with Adita it's such a beautiful thing, the gift of life. Of course in my pregnant stage, the cystic fibrosis part brought tears to my eyes. I lost my best friend Vanessa at the age of 13 to Cystic Fibrosis and it's a horrible disease. Its just so wonderful your Sister's spirit is pumping through all these people. I love you Cynthia (and family). XO
That is wonderful! A true gift!! Prayers are always with your family.... -Love Loran
Thank you Ladies! This is truly a beautiful story! I'm filled with emotion. I find comfort that Sylvia not only lives on in our heart but in others!
God is amazing how he carries us through dark times and allows us to see the beauty in it all!
much love,
cynthia
Wow what an inspirational story to share! I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister but can already see that her gifts have touched the lives of many. I pray that you and your family find comfort in this journey.
Amazing..the selflessness of a person to be so generous and loving just like our LORD. The LORD truly blessed this family and I know she is in heaven right now. Looking and smiling and knowing that her family did the only thing that Sylvia would have wanted...
Cynthia I just now read this. I don't think I knew this about Sylvia's donation. I've been thinking of her lately, her laugh and her passion for the Lord. I just wanted to thank you for including me in the tribute. I am truly honored and blessed by it. May God continue to bless you and your family. I hope to see you soon! - Diana N.
